From 1985 to 1992 Robert played with many Top-40 cover bands around Orange County, CA. Robert studied at the "Dick Grove School of Music" for 1 year as well as played with jazz bands at LA Harbor and Golden West College.

In 1992 Robert moved to Seattle. From 1992 to 1997, Robert performed with the local Grunge Band "Jonus Grumby" and performed weekly in Pioneer Square with a popular blues group called "The Little Kings".

In 1997, Robert attend Berklee College of Music. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with the highest performance ratings in December, 2000. He worked with a popular "70's style" horn band, small jazz groups and performed with various faculty from Berklee. He also lead a successful tribute band covering the music of "Return to Forever".

Robert relocated to Los Angeles in July, 2001. He performed for a RoTheatrix production of the musical, "Once on This Island" and has played with The Colin Mandel Group, Mick Stevens, a former bass player of Brand X and other L.A. fusion artists. Currently, Robert is very active in the L.A. jazz scene. He currently rehearses with The Compton College Big Band and performs with small jazz groups around LA.

Robert is also performing with and producing a band called "Rogue"; 3 sisters with excellent harmonies playing alternative soul style music. In 2004, Robert performed regularly with the Top-40 Group "Sound-FX" playing casinos and local dance venues. Robert is now working around Los Angeles regularly with accomplished jazz artists such as Doug Shrieve, Eldad Tarmu, Bill Cohen, Jack Block and others.
